چکیده
Abstract Aim Midline incision was reported as the common site of incisional hernia (IH) after hand-assisted laparoscopic anterior resection (LAR). There is no consensus on ideal for specimen extraction. Our aim to compare rate IH at various extraction sites our institution. Method We retrospectively reviewed data 90 cases LAR from May 2015 February 2018. Patients were divided into three groups such Pfannenstiel, iliac fossa (ILF) and midline. Age, sex, BMI, diabetes, steroid use, smoking, wound infection, hernia, post-operative hospital stays (HS) length follow up (LOF) compared among these groups. Results 13, 44 & 33 patients in ILF midline significant difference age, gender, mean LOF group had highest prevalence diabetes (27%), BMI 28.91, infection (16%), incidence (16%). The age 72.45 years longest HS 11.45 days (p < 0.003). At 49-month up, none Pfannenstiel developed or (0%). However, there strong association between type 0.248). Conclusions Although found have lowest IH, analysis not due small sample. suggest future studies larger samples with proper randomization propose that

Incidence of Port-Site Incisional Hernia After Single-Incision Laparoscopic Surgery
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Single-incision laparoscopic surgery is gaining popularity among minimally invasive surgeons and is now being applied to a broad number of surgical procedures. Although this technique uses only 1 port, the diameter of the incision is larger than in standard laparoscopic surgery. The long-term incidence of port-site hernias after single-incision laparoscopic surgery has...
متن کاملSingle-Incision Laparoscopic Surgery for Intersigmoid Hernia
Intersigmoid hernia is a rare form of internal hernia. Here, we report a case of intersigmoid hernia and provide a brief review of the 62 cases involving the mesosigmoid reported in Japan from 2000 to 2013. In the current case, a 26-year-old man with no previous history of abdominal surgery presented with abdominal pain and vomiting. Abdominal computed tomography revealed an extensively dilated...
متن کاملAnastomosis Procedure through an Inguinal Hernia Incision in Simultaneous Laparoscopic Anterior Resection and Inguinal Hernia Repair
For laparoscopic anterior resection, an additional small incision is usually placed in the left lower quadrant or the suprapubic portion. As a left inguinal hernia incision is close to both the left lower quadrant and the suprapubic portion, such an incision can be used for anastomosis in laparoscopic anterior resection, without additional incisions. We report a laparoscopic anterior resection ...

Introduction: Our aim was to report a case regarding combined resection of a hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatic cyst, gallbladder, and appendix. Case Description: The patient underwent single-incision laparoscopic surgery for resection of a hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatic cyst, gallbladder and appendix. Discussion: There was 200 mL of blood loss without transfusion. The operation took 140 minu...
متن کاملLaparoscopic Incisional Hernia Repair
An incisional hernia (Fig 1.) is defined as any abdominal wall gap with or without a bulge in the area of a postoperative scar perceptible or palpable by clinical examination or imaging [1]. Incisional hernia is a common long-term complication following abdominal surgery and is estimated to occur in 11-23% [2, 3]. Risk factors for incisional hernia are male gender, body mass index, cancer, and ...
